Our Business Law Group selectively represents some of the largest banks and financial institutions in Canada, as well as private lenders. Our lawyers differentiate themselves through their thorough understanding of the structuring, documenting, and negotiating of various types of leasing and lending transactions and through their in-depth knowledge of the industry and market.

We provide an array of services to banks and lenders. We assist various financial institutions in structuring and negotiating loans, drafting loan commitments, loan agreements and other supporting collateral documentation in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Our Business Law Group runs transactions that are smooth and cordial. We move quickly at the outset of a transaction to establish the respect and trust of all parties. When unexpected issues arise, we work with all parties to search for practical, effective solutions. Above all, we understand that a successful loan transaction serves as the beginning of the relationship between the lender and the borrower, and we diligently perform our role to ensure that the atmosphere created at the closing of a loan transaction can serve as a springboard to get that relationship off to a great start.

Our Business Law Group also has experience in working out troubled credit arrangements to enhance asset realization for lending institutions. Our goal is to secure the highest possible recovery for our clients while being mindful not to incur disproportionate legal expenses.
