Bruce Duggan is a partner in the firm and practises business
law, with particular emphasis on the needs of entrepreneurial
ventures, small and large privately held companies and family
businesses.
In addition to providing general counsel and advice on ongoing
legal issues that impact their business, Bruce works with clients
to develop and facilitate realistic growth strategies, and is
able to connect them, where appropriate, with other expert resources.
His services include organizing companies and corporate and
share structures, the purchase and sale of businesses, organizing
partners' and shareholders' agreements, preparing and reviewing
commercial leases and franchise agreements, structuring deals,
the purchase and sale and financing of businesses, partner and
shareholder dispute resolution, and joint ventures agreements.
An important part of Bruce's practice is representing the interests
of financial institutions when lending. This includes the review
of offers to finance, preparation of security, recommendations
on structuring transactions and general advice to lenders on
issues arising on a daily basis. Bruce is also well connected
to a number of other non-traditional sources of funding and
is experienced in alternative methods of financing. This accumulated
expertise is invaluable to his corporate clients as they prepare
to expand and grow.
Over the years Bruce has worked with enterprises from start
up to the level of sustainable success. His clients cover a
range of business including manufacturers, software and high
tech companies, construction companies, professional partnerships,
wholesalers, retailers, service providers, franchisees, logistics
and warehousing, not for profit corporations and banks.
